Neo Rauch (born April 18, 1960, in Leipzig, East, Germany) is a German Artist whose paintings mine the intersection of his personal history with the politics of industrial alienation.
I have been a fan of his work for years now. My friend Chris turned me on to him and his vast body of work.
He had a solo show 2 years ago at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Brook and I attended the show and this fueled my passion for his work even more. The painting in person are something else.
These paintings are Very large. 8x12 foot type of scale.
